history
Painful beginnings The Hidaka Clan has always believed in one brash belief, "If Not By Fate, Then by Our Blade." There was an overwhelming desire for peace, but with governmental bodies and the institutions set in stone, peace had to be taken-- had to be stolen. In the beginning stages of the clan, much of their work was founded upon snuffing out the common threat, the misuse of power and the neglect of the city-state's citizens. The clan found that much of the Doman empire focused their sights on Yanxia, their own walls and nothing beyond. This left many within the port town and neighboring country-sides (The Steppe) to be left without direct help and instead resources utilized and drained. N'ami Hidaka was handed this clan initially, to carry out contract killings for notable royals and leaders who had less than savory ways of helping their citizens.Caught in The Middle N'ami's past actions or as the Kugane governing bodies would say, her 'crimes', were that of 'barbaric' vigilantism. If there was an agitator threatening the city's inhabitants, N'ami and clan members would plan targeted attacks to handle the mess on their own. Through organized networks and ears to the ground, her clan did the job the Sekiseigumi failed to do. They protected vulnerable citizens and made abrasive statements with each attack. Whether a sign, a symbol, or even the head of the perpetrator delivered to the viceroy's doorstep; they were viscerally motivated to leave a mark on the city of Kugane. As such, she was labeled The Sun Killer, and in order to lessen sights on the clan's whereabouts, she took their work to the underground. The clan** 'disbanded'** and instead became the syndicate; a network of trained and knowledgable individuals seeking asylum within Shirogane.Look to the West The syndicate's work remained local, gathering intel and understanding the inner workings of the Kugane political climate. The feedback from boots on the ground have been deflating to the syndicate, detailing the following: heightened presence of** Sekiseigumi** detaining petty thieves for market goods yet removing focus from siginificant crime presence within their ranks, unjustly charging newcomers to the port town and detaining them unlawfully, the Doman Empire removing resources and necessary funding to The Steppe, halting reparations for participation in the war they encouraged, and enemy clans still targeting Kugane residences and Steppe settlements throughout the Red Sea. There is much work to do and there's little time to do it. The syndicate is rather small, unable to impact the city state at large and with it comes daunting, expansive work that requires a coordinated approach. Thus-- The Kugane Rebellion. The Call Though we may be few, the call remains the same. We have roots that can outstretch to foreign city-states, that will heed the call of helping those in need outside of the government's restraints. We scream, we cry, we beg for assistance that can't wait for due process; they allow the wrong people to roam the streets while 'so-called' criminals are withheld in cells. They forget our hard work and diligence, assisting the Scions in their many trials to save the world, with no regard of the mess they leave behind. We must protect this country, we must help our community and we must take every opportunity to show our citizens that its own government no longer finds interest in its health and wellbeing. The revolution lies within you, within me, with anyone willing to take up the mantle beside me. We are The Kugane Rebellion.

personality n'ami 'The Sun Killer' hidaka is a graceful swordsman with strong loyalty to their found family and surrounding clan. A persistent leader, an empathetic teacher and a loving friend; she gives her soul wholeheartedly to those worth her fight. Whether in her speech or simple gestures, she believes that you must do for others, not because of who they are, but because of who you are.

A List of the Roles in the Rebellion
The Diplomatic Order
The Visionary
Communications, delegation & creation of community ties to bring in resources, support and stability. Often a group of 3 individuals who share leadership.
The Combat Initiative
The Sword
Comprised of combat, defense focused missions with integral targets. This dissipates over varying areas/city states based on combatant’s location/home base. The targets can range from smaller enemy groups to moderate risk political targets. Missions are dispatched based on skill, trust and experience.
The Special Forces
The Star
A group of innately skilled mercenaries who take on solo targeting work, yet can work in a duo pairing to ensure optimal success. The targets for spec ops groups are often high risk political personnel. These targets are usually taken in for personal interrogation within the rebellion’s order; unless it is vehemently suggested by the founder to proceed with deadly force.
The Intelligence Order
The Compass
All rebellions must have roots within each city state, bolstering finite communications with its inhabitants and citizens. Though similar to the diplomatic order, what sets this group apart are in depth infiltration/spy operations. They are often led by the diplomatic order and perform infiltration under aliases. They often report back findings, new resource management and intelligence operations information.
The Grass - Roots Order
The Lifeline
Focused on the medicinal and life restorative functions of each city state. Serving much of the rebellion’s members to medical care and treatment, they are also dispatched as community health leaders. They teach holistic community medicine, while also growing a healthcare network for the rebellion itself. Patients will often see to it that they visit the rebellion; to seek asylum and treatment with no judgment.
The Philanthropic Order
The Investors
These are varying neighborhood clans, syndicates, criminal groups who supply the rebellion with funds needed to sponsor their cause. Mercenaries must be paid for their work, and investors allot for this opportunity. As of now, there are only (2) sources of vested income. They’re seeing to it that the rebellion is paid handsomely for their community work, while also noting a significant upward change in community health and opportunity.
FAQs
How do i join? At the moment, I'd like to work with mutuals who have a knack for good storytelling and potentially being interwoven into N'ami's story. Simply Dm me and we can talk!Where is the home base located? The rebellion's home base is located in the Azim Steppe. This is where your OC will be reporting back with any findings and mission reporting. What's the time commitment? You put in the time you feel you can! There's no scheduled meeting, nor mandatory presence needed for storytelling. Let it grow, let it flow. You choose the time commitment! What's our moral alignment? We are a balance between neutral to chaotic good. we certainly don't follow the law's standards and more likely than not we will be marked as criminals. Can a WoL join? WoLs can join at their own discretion; keeping in mind that much of the work we'll be doing is dedicated to the populations left behind. There are no hard feelings between the rebellion's work and the scions, they work under their own jurisdiction, we work under our own. What’s our common goal? to protect, serve and lift the citizens of kugane and beyond. we have varying targets that are still impacting the population at large due to the viceroy's engagement. we do not cooperate with governement sanctioned entities and we do not work with the sekiseigumi.

Inspiration: The Firelights
Arcane. If there's one group where the vision aligns perfectly, it's this one. This group specifically inspires the rebellion's main cause: "Giving people what they need to survive isn't enough. We must give them what they need to live." Aside from the fire symbolism and the amazing aesthetics, I truly enjoy how this group approaches governmental bodies: careful, calculated and specialized teams.

Inspiration: Nomads
Cyberpunk TTRPG | game The nomads within cyberpunk find solace in consistently being on the move if it means safety and stability for their clan. They believe in found family and members are often bound by oath. Though the world of cyberpunk is turbulent, each nomad and their associated clan heavily lean in to the family aspect of a clan.

Inspiration: The Rebel Alliance
star wars I feel like this is a no brainer, but what stands out the most to me for the rebel alliance is the blatant disregard of safety in its earlier forming years. Once organized, they still took courageous steps to take on the empire head on. This inspires the fearlessness of the rebellion and how it important it can be to sacrifice just about everything.

Inspiration: The Revolutionary Army
One Piece I truly favor the organization and long game the revolutionary army has within One Piece. They are insanely patient, steadfast and believe in approaching the world government at varying angles. The vastness of the army is something to strive towards, especially if we're looking to establish roots in other city-states besides Kugane.
